Accessibility services

Mayo Clinic's campus in Florida features several accessibility services

Mayo Clinic offers many accessibility services for patients who need assistance. These on-campus services are easy to access and free of charge.

General Service staff can help you arrange accessibility services. Family and friends also are welcome to assist you with special needs during your visit to Mayo Clinic.

Wheelchairs are available for use on campus free of charge at all Mayo Clinic campuses. Wheelchairs are located at each main entrance. If you prefer a larger wheelchair, please ask a General Service staff member. Barrier-free access for wheelchairs and power-activated doors are provided at each of the main entrances.

Patient escorts

General Service patient escorts are available to transport patients to and from appointments. To request an escort, call General Service at 480-301-9055 at the Scottsdale campus and 480-342-1154 at the Phoenix campus. This free assistance is provided to patients who use wheelchairs, those with visual impairments and others who have difficulty walking. Staff members at Mayo Clinic information desks and patient care areas also can arrange an escort.

Handicapped-accessible parking

Handicapped-accessible parking spaces are located in the parking garage and in patient parking lots. Valet parking is available for a fee at all of the front entrances at the Phoenix campus.

Wheelchair-accessible restrooms are located in all buildings and marked with signs indicating accessibility. If you have difficulty locating a wheelchair-accessible restroom, a Mayo Clinic staff member can assist you.

Private restrooms with space for a companion are marked "Family Assist Restrooms" and available at both locations.
